It has been a long time since I have written on my blog. But I just had to show this to everybody. I made this for my youngest daughter for Christmas. Her favorite two men in life is Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean and Jack the pumpkin king from Nightmare before Christmas.

She was so surprised when she opened this present on Christmas day. I have been making afghans like this one for about ten years. And about three years ago I started making the graphs for these.

This type of crochet is called Mo-ez crochet. These afghans are crocheted with an eighteen inch afghan hook that is made out of wood.

I'm working on a Teddy Bear named "Rags" He was published in a crochet magizine some years ago and you can also get the pattern on the e-patterncentral.com

When doing this pattern, You first crochet all the parts and then sew them together. After you do all that then you will be cutting small pieces of the same yarn and then latch-hooking them onto the bear so that he comes out furry. In this picture I have started doing this part.
